001. - voice

[ --clicks on to the screech of something inhuman howling its lungs out, and the muffled sounds of someone whose communicator has turned on inside a pocket in the middle of a fight. More screeching, the ring of metal, and several crashing noises until the monster's yowling is cut abruptly short with a horrible wet sound. ]

[ Silence. ]

[ And then, much clearer and so completely calm, some actual speech. ]

Nuadoria. I had not thought to see thee again.

Thou art changed.

My what?

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Merely the speech of my youth.

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Thou needs not apologize to me. It is wise to recognize one's own limitations.

Youth long gone?

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Thou served a child in thy time here before. Is he grown as thee, or are you free from bondage?

[identity profile] sereins.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, no. I still watch after him.

[identity profile] nethrstead.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
We all have them, right?

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Centuries gone.
fruity: (always seeing more than this)

[personal profile] fruity 2009-04-17 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
You sound to be in good health, for centuries old.

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I have. It seems she has summoned me back.

[voice]

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Wast thou also summoned a second time?

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
It would be a great inconvenience if I could not.

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Your kind does, yes.

[identity profile] omoidezukuri.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, not everyone can.

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I see I was not wrong about thee.

[identity profile] nethrstead.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I meant that we all do. Everyone. In general.

[identity profile] sereins.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah?

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
The afflictions of age are, fortunately, a human concern, and none of mine.

[voice]

[identity profile] cachaemic.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Not me, but someone I know...

I guess it's hard to stay away from here.

[voice]

[identity profile] goldenarchery.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Trying to die before your time or do you actually have some skill?

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
That is the natural order of things.

I do remember thee. Ritsuka, was it not?

[identity profile] omoidezukuri.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
You remember me?

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
If that is what you believe.

[identity profile] netherrstead.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
It's just fact, you know? Every living thing has some sort of vulnerability.

[identity profile] temerate.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Such loyalty is rare.
